APRIL 2013 Gardening with Nature programs at Rocky River Nature Center

Discover How To Make A Difference Starting In Your Own Backyard With "Your Piece Of The Planet" Programs

If you think one person's actions have little impact on the planet, think again. Find out how each one of us can make a positive impact on the planet by making changes to our own backyards. And collectively, many backyards can have an impact on planet Earth.

Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Nature Center's new program, "Your Piece Of The Planet," features a variety of free, environmental initiatives offered throughout the year. The goal of the program is to empower people by providing resources and knowledge on a range of ecological topics to help transform any backyard into a natural wild space for food, fun and nature.

Topics include rain barrels, composting, rain gardens, birdfeeding stations, monarch waystations and more. "Your Piece Of The Planet" kicks off in April and continues through May, breaking for summer and resuming in the fall with programs September through November.

"Your Piece Of The Planet" programs in April include:
