The Abram Creek Stream Team held its first community volunteer event this past Saturday, June 7. The weather was perfect, too perfect maybe as we has a lighter than hoped for turnout. However the, dozen volunteers that participated accomplished much. The "trashiest" volunteers were Kim McGreal, Beau Williams and Neale Belcher all from Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Thanks to Mayor Tom Coyne of brook Park for providing Kennedy Park Pavilion, City of Middleburg Heights for providing heavy-duty garbage bags and Lear's Pizzeria & Deli for feeding us after the clean up. Future activities are being planned and we are thinking of conducting a drive-walk tour of the forgotten and never seen parts of Abram Creek. To get involved contact Mel Hauser at 216-392-1106 or mahauser@wowway.com
