Beaver Dam on Healey Creek

This small beaver dam was discovered along Healey Creek just east of North Carpenter Road in Brunswick. The dam has artificially raised the creek about 2.5 - 3' during dry weather.  There have been surface flooding conditions reported at Carpenter Road and this could be one of the causes. Assessing Streambank Erosion in Baldwin Creek

This summer Cuyahoga Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) performed streambank erosion assessments in the Baldwin Creek subwatershed to prioritize erosion prevention projects. The work was supported by a Great Lakes Commission grant that will help prevent sedimentation in the Rocky River watershed.

Abram Creek Stram Clean Up

The Abram Creek Stream Team held its first community volunteer event this past Saturday, June 7. The weather was perfect, too perfect maybe as we has a lighter than hoped for turnout.
