Event Description

6:30 PM at the Richfield Branch of the Akron-Summit County Public Library, located at 3761 S. Grant St. in Richfield.

The purpose of the meeting is to gain input about protection and restoration opportunities in the Upper East Branch from residents and other interested parties.  The protection and restoration plan, including the project selection and ranking process, will also be discussed.

Background:

Cuyahoga SWCD has been awarded a $13,545 Coastal Management Assistance Grant from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to develop Protection and Restoration Plans for the Plum Creek (near Brunswick) and Upper East Branch subwatersheds.  The Upper East Branch is considered anything upstream of Hinckley Lake, including portions of Hinckley Township, Richfield Township, the Village of Richfield, Braodview Heights and North Royalton.  The finished plans will be incorporated into the Rocky River Watershed Action Plan as updates.
