Event Description

This project serves to restore and protect the headwaters of the Upper East Branch of the Rocky River's Mirror Valley in Hinckley Reservation. Please join us to help plant trees and shrubs along the floodplain of a newly restored creek. This reforestation project will also include the installation of bioengineering material (live stakes) to help reinforce the banks of the stream.

The planting is sponsored by Cleveland Metroparks, Cuyahoga SWCD and Rocky River Watershed Council.

This restoration project, funded by Ohio EPA's Surface Water Improvement Fund, restored this section of creek to reduce impacts to high quality aquatic habitat downstream of the project area.

We will be working from 9:00 AM - Noon and 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Come just for the morning or just for the afternoon, or bring a lunch and stay for the whole day!

Registration required. To register, click here.
