Event Description

A cover crop luncheon meeting for farmers will be held Friday, January 18th from 11:30-2pm at the Penfield Township Hall at ST Rte 18 and 301.

The meeting is sponsored by the Cuyahoga, Medina and Lorain SWCD’s, Town and Country Co-op, Dow Chemical and the Rocky River Watershed Council, and is funded in part through a grant from the Great Lakes Commisison.

Topics covered will be why use cover crops, establishing covers, terminating covers, managing our soils for cover crops and improving soil health, possible funding, 4R Tomorrow and future activities.

The event is free but registration is requested by contacting the Medina SWCD at 330-722-2628 ext 3 by Jan 14th
